Did you know that Bartolomé Bermejo was the greatest painter of 15th-century Spain? There are fewer than 20 known works by him and the National Gallery has gathered 7 of these rare works in a unique exhibition.

Join us on Sunday 18th August to discover more about this master of colours and textures, and have glimpse on Spain’s 15th-century fascinating history, from Reconquista to Inquisición.

We’ll meet on Sunday 18th August at 3pm at the National Gallery Getty Entrance (Trafalgar Square). The visit will be led in Spanish by our amazing Spanish teacher and Art Historian, Victoria. All levels of Spanish are welcome. You’ll be provided with a vocabulary list in advance.

This workshop originated as a “know-before-you-go” guide to the Royal Academy exhibition “Picasso & Paper”. Through a variety of interactive activities, you will discover Picasso’s biography and artistic periods, his creative use of different materials, and his inexhaustible imagination to innovate. We will even have time to talk about his most emblematic work “El Guernica”, all whilst putting your Spanish into gear.
