Latin American action thriller Monos (O.V. Spanish with English subtitles) has been one of the highlights of 2019 BFI London Film Festival.
A group of eight heavily-armed child-soldiers are left entirely alone in a deserted lime mine, high up in the mountains, to guard a hostage. Set against a stunningly beautiful but dangerous landscape, Alejandro Landes’ awe-inspiring film is a breathtakingly epic vision that will leave you both mesmerised and utterly gripped.
